COURSE PREFACE

This course is designed to teach technicians how to properly measure the amount of 60HZ (AC) on telephone circuits and to determine the relationship between 60HZ on complaints from the customer.

This unwanted energy from power company lines induced on to telephone circuits is often the cause of false operations of PBX circuits, false ring-up, losing calls on hold and also circuit noise.

With this training students will learn how to quickly associate certain customer complaints with 60HZ voltage, take accurate measurements to confirm their suspicions and be able to more quickly determine resolution of the customers problem.

The Power Company very often must be brought in on these problems. Part of this course teaches the student how to explain what they must do to resolve these conditions.
