
COURSE PREFACE " A MUST COURSE FOR ANYONE WORKING IN OUTSIDE PLANT ENVIRONMENTS"
This advanced safety course describes the procedures and methods set by the Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Construction standards for excavation 29CFR, port 1926.651 and .652 applies to all open excavations made in the earth's surface including trenches and splice pits.
This course is intended to train the student with the skill to identify all OSHA safety standards for trenching and shoring.
The student will learn the proper use of shoring. They will be able to identify hazardous atmosphere, soil classifications and to do visual inspections of excavations to determine the working conditions of the splice pit or trench.
The class is taught in a live environment on actual pits and trenches in the field removing all simulated conditions to build greater student confidence and retention.
